2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE has three powertrain options. In the SE Standard Range trim, the Ioniq 5 employs a 168-horsepower electric motor mated to a 58-kWh battery. This setup yields a range of 220 miles. The SE is the only Ioniq 5 available with the Standard Range RWD powertrain. The SE RWD model ($45,700) uses a bigger motor and battery. With its 225-horsepower motor and 77.4-kWh battery, this Ioniq has an impressive EPA-estimated range of 303 miles. Finally, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) SE model  has a total output of 320 hp and a 260-mile range. Regardless of the powertrain, the Ioniq SE model has a generous list of standard tech features. Standard features on every Ioniq 5 SE include Ultra-Fast charging (Hyundai’s name for DC fast charging, claiming a charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes). You also get 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Standard safety features also abound. Highlights include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. You also get the Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system, which keeps you in your lane at a safe distance from the car in front of you, provided you keep your hands on the steering wheel.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL:

The midrange Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL is available with the 225-hp electric motor and RWD or the dual-motor setup with AWD . These have the same performance and range specs as the SE model with these respective powertrains. Additional standard features that come with the SEL model include a hands-free power liftgate, a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming mirror with a universal garage door opener, a wireless charging pad, Hyundai Digital Key, and front and rear parking sensors. The upgraded Highway Driving Assist II feature improves the semi-autonomous driving system by adding a lane-change assist feature that can change lanes automatically when you use your turn signal on the highway. However, you still have to keep your hands on the wheel.

The Limited trim has the same powertrain options as the SEL model. You can get a single-motor RWD model with 303 miles of range or a dual-motor AWD setup with a 260-mile range. The Ioniq 5 Limited is an upscale electric SUV with premium features like a panoramic sunroof, power-folding mirrors, LED projector headlights, heated front and rear seats, H-Tex faux leather seating surfaces, and a “Relaxation” driver’s seat that can recline all the way back. Other upgrades include a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display with augmented reality, a Bose premium audio system, and more safety tech like a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist, which lets you remotely move the Ioniq 5 into and out of tight parking spots using only the key fob. The Limited trim also makes the rear seats a more pleasant place to be, thanks to air vents, a rear armrest with cupholders, and rear sunshades.  

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited includes:
